The current house looks like a renovation but is actually a thoroughly new, modern house with every attention to detail for form and function, and yet replicating the traditional in appearance. Most of the floors are teak wood. The staircase is West Indian mahogany, the kitchen and master bath are travertine tile. The balconies are all ceramic tile as well as the other bathrooms. The roof is a high-grade galvanized metal to replicate the traditional look, on top of wood and screwed down. The house has central Mitsubishi air conditioning. In the bar, the soffit hides the very quiet air conditioning condenser system in interlocking panels that unravels to reveal the system so it can be easily serviced. There is a sophisticated automated lighting system throughout the house which allows one to control the lighting and fans inside and outside from one control. In the elegant yet comfortable living room has a full surround sound theater with Dish network TV and all the components hidden from view.
